A Lecture by the Rt Hon Helen Clark, New Zealand Prime Minister, at the University of Southampton

As part of the University of Southampton School of Humanities 'new' New Zealand programme, New Zealand Prime Minister the Rt Hon Helen Clark, will be visiting the University of Southampton to present a public lecture at 6:00pm on Tuesday 2 October.

This is a rare opportunity to hear one of the world's most successful women politicians address a northern hemisphere audience on the manner in which her social democratic thinking, and that of her party, has helped mould New Zealand's confident response to the global challenges of the early 21st century.

More information and an on-line registration form can be found at: http://www.soton.ac.uk/about/events/register.html

Confirmation of registration and joining instructions will be sent to you prior to the event.

This lecture will be important for those individuals and organisations with an interest in women and leadership; contemporary New Zealand; the politics of the South Pacific; the response of social democracy to globalisation and economic liberalism; and the strategic, economic, and cultural relationship between northern and southern hemispheres.
