OzDeploy Joint Venture Announced

Sydney-based ICT services company TLW IT Services and business development and digital specialists Ouvrir have announced the launch of a new joint venture in 2010. The new business, to be based in Sydney, will distribute technology and sustainability products to the Australia and New Zealand Market.

OzDeploy has negotiated a sole-distributor partnership with Modus Interactive UK for Australia and New Zealand. The vendor decided to work with the Sydney-based distributor to drive the Modus Interactive and Powerwise brands in the Australian and New Zealand market.

Mark Taylor at Modus Interactive, said: "We are delighted to be partnering with OzDeploy; it will provide substantial reach to this new market. Its existing channel relationships in the sustainability sector will enable us to deploy Powerwise 2009 from Modus Interactive into key markets such as SME, system integration, education and government."

Powerwise is a network software tool that is designed to reduce PC energy consumption. Modus claims Powerwise can save up to $80 of cost per PC per year. With 500 PCs, the vendor claims businesses could be cutting up to $40,000 from their electricity costs annually, while reducing their emissions by up to 150,000kg of CO2 per year.

Will Noble, Commercial Director and co-Founder at OzDeploy, said: "Powerwise forms the foundation of OzDeploy's technology and sustainability offering for the Australian and New Zealand market. More than ever, businesses need a way to reduce ever-increasing energy bills and reduce carbon emissions."
